The PUNK-O-RAMA series is the most comprehensive, not to mention most popular, series documenting punk's umpteenth wave beginning in the late '90s. Introduced by the wave's undisputed kingmaker label Epitaph in 1995, the sampler has semi-annually featured a comprehensive punk overview ever since, giving fans a chance to discover new up-and-coming bands as well as new or unreleased tracks by established favorites

PUNK-O-RAMA 5 has something for lovers of every style of punk, from the daft (NoFx and the Dwarves) to serious hardcore hybrids H2O and Sweden's incomparable Refused. In the up-and-comers category, Osker, Bombshell Rocks, and Death By Stereo, all frenetic outfits reminiscent of old-school British punk, provide electrifying moments. Mexican horns flavor San Diego veterans Voodoo Glow Skulls on one of their best efforts, "Stranded in the Jungle," while further highlights are provided by All, Guttermouth and the inimitable, criminally ignored Satanic Surfers
