."So Pure" was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.Commemorating the 25th anniversary of peace, love, and music is WOODSTOCK 99. The three-day festival that was held in Rome, New York brought together some of contemporary music's most promising acts. The Dave Matthews Band sounds amazing on "Tripping Billies," as the band burns up the stage with its secret weapon, drummer Carter Beauford. "Rock This Town" gets a touch of class and brass from the Brian Setzer Orchestra. Jewel commands the audience with sass and confidence on "Down So Long." One of the more surprising performances of this historic event was by Elvis Costello. With an acoustic guitar and subtle accompaniment, Costello quickly subdued and captured tens of thousands with "Alison." Alanis Morissette's "So Pure" secures her place among Woodstock's female rock legends. Jamiroquai's Jay Kay brings his own smooth brand of '70s-influenced disco-funk with "Black Capricorn Days." The impromptu rendition of the Jimi Hendrix classic, "Fire" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers was a fitting concert moment and was a well-chosen nod to the original Woodstock event. WOODSTOCK 99 carries on the legacy of the festival, celebrating diversity and the magic of live music
